Many Thanks
|
Greg,Sue,Vicki,Scotty and staff,
Many thanks for your card after my alltication on the way back to Qld after all your good work on "The Beast" as it was named.
Firstly I would like to say how impressed I was on my first trip over to see your setup and get fist hand info on your conversions,I must say I didn`t have to ask many questions as it was all covered by one of your staff (can`t remember his name) he was most imformative and knew his product. I left convinced I had to have one.
Secondly I was very impress with my dealings with Vicki in the front office every so helpfull and jovial lovely personallity worth her weight in gold (thanks Vicki) As I`ve said before dealings were faultless (thanks very much to your whole staff)
Unfortunatelly now for the down side of my trip everthing was going well, have the vehicle serviced in Adelaide had mechanics climbing all over "The Beast"had never seen any thing like it.
Service done and some visiting I headed towards home (I must say it way a pleasure to drive and only got better) an awsome machine, then 90ks west of Broken Hill at around 1.45am (I was stopping the night at B/Hill) when this young clown (he went DUI 0.1 on the bag) decided he wanted some of my side of the road, the rest is history I think we were both very lucky, glad I was in a 4x4.
I don`t know how you found out about the accident but thanks for the card.
The culperate was a late model XR6 Turbo his speed was estmated at around 150-160kph by the witnesses to do the damage did. If I ever work out how to send photos I will.
Anyway enough just wanted to say thanks for you help and kind words In finishing I`ll use one of General Mc Carthers saying durring the 2WW "I WILL RETURN"
Regards and many thanks
Bob
PS Vicki don`t forget my winter jacket

To Thank the team at Brunswick Diesels
|
Hi Greg,
Just a short note to thank you and your team for the Chev Diesel supplied for my Nissan Patrol.
It has proven to be exactly what you described, and has transformed the vehicle into something that I love to drive.
I found Scott and Chris easy to deal with, and their passion for their work is evident. You have a good team and it made dealing with Brunswick Diesels a pleasure.
I will be in touch when I am looking for my next upgrade ( in approx 500k or so).
Thanks again.
Kind Regards, Stuart

Vehicle Purchase - Edwin & Elizabeth - Wangaratta Victoria
|
Dear Greg, Sue, Elody, Vicki and Scotty plus all the team at Brunswick.
And what a great team you are, so helpful where nothing is too much trouble. We are now back in Victoria with our Nissan Chevy 6.5 V8. The drive back here was easy and uneventful, we crossed the Flinders Ranges via Horracks Pass without hardly a murmur from the motor, it took it in it's stride, a mere mole hill. The Nullabor was soon behind us and we were soon on home territory.
The conversion has raised many an eyebrow here in the north east, and it would not be surprising to find that you will have more enquiries from this direction. Anybody considering the option of a new motor for their Nissan or Toyota four wheel drive would indeed find it difficult to surpass your service and genuine helpfulness to get it right for your customers.
Thankyou again from both of us, and kind regards to all.

Vehicle Purchase - John from Cairns
|
Vicki, Elody and Greg
For anyone who is pondering the question whether to purchase a 6.5 litre Chevy Diesel from Brunswick Diesels, here are five reasons: Leonora, Giles, Olgas, Uluru, Normanton.
My son and I flew from Cairns to Perth to pick up our new 4X4 Patrol complete with the famous 6.5 litre V8 Chevrolet Diesel. All the above places are on the Great Central Road (except for Normanton) which is the route we took back to Cairns straight after taking delivery. Some people thought we were mad for crossing the desert in November with a vehicle that I haven’t even driven yet! But we loaded the esky with recovery gear and safety equipment and flew to Perth anyway. Prior to getting on the plane to Perth, I was working in India and constantly emailing Vicki and Elody with the odd phone call thrown in. They were both very helpful and obliging with all my queries. (30+ emails!)
I was attending a training course in Perth and was unable to get down to Brunswick, so Elody and Don very kindly delivered the car to the training facility in Jandakot (which is about a 2 hour drive) during my lunch break. We spent the next day stocking up and planning our route across the desert. The next morning at 6am, we were off on our adventure with our new car. The first thing that struck me about the Chevy was the throaty note, and the way it pulls away effortlessly. 1st gear is never used. We encountered our first corrugations just past Laverton. After a while we stopped to check things over and couldn’t find anything that had fallen off or worked loose. All was good. We were not sure of the temperatures out there, but it was that dry heat where you could hardly breathe. The air-con was on full time, and the motor temperature never moved. We were caught in a storm just past Warburton and had to engage 4WD to get through the flooded dirt tracks. The Chev just purred through it all effortlessly with that continues throaty note, and I was impressed.
Once we reached Uluru it was time for the 2500 klm first oil change which Brunswick Diesels were very kind enough to throw in 8 liters of oil and filters for the trip. During the next few days, and when we were arriving back into Cairns we noticed a few quirky things with the car that Greg very happily agreed to pay the cost of rectifying. These things were mere oversights and had not effected the vehicle mechanically.
My son and I loved the adventure together, which was made possible by the helpful staff and professional tradespersons at Brunswick Diesels.
John.

Brunswick Diesels
To Greg, Vicki and the rest of the team,
In May 2009 my husband and I purchased a 2002 GU Nissan Patrol fitted with a 6.5 Chevy V8 Diesel Engine from Brunswick Diesels. The difference with us to other purchasers was we purchased sight unseen.
As we live in Tasmania it was a fair stretch to travel to WA just to look at the vehicle and say ‘yes’ that is what we are after. After many phone calls and emails to Brunswick Diesels and many pictures viewed by us we bit the bullet, took a chance and purchased it on Brunswick Diesels word.
Brunswick Diesels were fantastic to deal with, from the point of sale to the freight of the vehicle to Victoria and post sale follow up.
We were pleasantly surprised when we took possession of the vehicle (now named Nev, as a cross between a Nissan and a Chev) in Victoria, we knew what we had brought, had viewed many photos but to see it in the metal it was out of this world.
I would recommend to anyone that they should have no fear purchasing from Brunswick Diesels sight unseen.
There are absolutely no regrets down under in Tas that’s for sure.
Thanks Brunswick Diesels.
Ps we have had lots of people looking at the vehicle too when it is parked or driving in or around town and it sure does turn heads when they hear the rumble of the Diesel V8 engine, it is like music to your ears, which we cannot get enough of it… |

Greg ,Sue,Scotty and the Team
|
Hi Greg, Sue, Scotty and the team, I just want to take this opportunity to say a really big thankyou for the wonderful transformation you have done to our old 1998 nissan patrol by giving her a brand new healthy heart (6.5 chev diesel V8). As we live in New Zealand it was not an easy decision to make, to put the trust into someone you dont know to carry out such a major job on a motor vehicle. After talking to a few mates of mine over there i decided what the hell....what can happen really, a reputable company, nice guy (Greg) a great team headed by Scotty (another not bad guy) when Greg isn't about, so lets do it. I rang from my home in Wanaka, New Zealand spoke to Greg told him when i was coming over for our annual pilgrimage to get away from our freezing winter and made arrangements to drop the old nissan off there.....and go ahead and do the transplant, the poor old engine was on her last legs so im glad it got to "Doctor Greg" in time. The next call was to see if all was going to be done by the time i arrived as Shirley and i were wanting to head north as soon as possible. Greg gave us the nod that it would be done on time so i just thought that was great.....i arrived in Aussie went down to Brunswick and sure enough all was done apart from one or two little things that slipped Gregs mind (they weren't important anyway) We left to head on our journey within the next few days and the mighty nissan hasn't missed a beat and towing our 26 foot caravan like it isn't even there..... I've made a few calls to greg just to check with him that all is doing what it is meant to be doing and i am one very very happy customer and wouldn't hesitate in recommending Greg and his team at Brunswick Diesels to anybody that wants anything done to their vehicles, feel free to email me for recommendation if you wish, once again thanks Greg Kindest Regards Alan & Shirley Boyes |

CUSTOMER SERVICE
|
Greg Jones - Brunswick Diesels Brunswick Junction WA
It is often said that everyone is a good Captain when travelling in smooth seas.
Through my experience, the team of professionals at Brunswick Diesels have proven themselves to be good Captains in smooth seas and also through troubled waters.
Unfortunately things didn't quite go to plan with the conversion and a few problems were encountered. There wasn't a single point in the process that Greg and the team at Brunswick Diesels backed away from the problems I was encountering. The product support and customer service I received was second to none. Being at the other side of the country was not a problem. Greg totally supports his product.
At the end of the day I have a vehicle that is an absolute pleasure to drive and far more capable than the standard vehicle.
I will remember the dedication to customer service and good old fashioned values long after the initial problems are forgotten.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Brunswick Diesels and their V8 Diesel Conversions.

CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL - VEHICLE SALES
|
Dear Greg and Sue,
Just to let you know how pleased we are with our Patrol. We'd also like to take this opportunity to tell others of our experience with Brunswick Diesels.
Recently my wife and I found ourselves looking for a new car. Along with our three boys, we enjoy a bit of serious 4WD'ing and have an off road van we use, when we can, for holidays. Well, what to buy? It wasn't our budget that concerned us altogether - it was finding something in a diesel that would be powerful enough, comfortable enough and above all reliable enough to go where we want.
We started looking at what was available on the market, but there seemed to be nothing that had everything we needed. All the new 4WD's abound with all sorts of electronic and computerized gadgets, which not only restrict their off-road use, but cost big dollars to service and maintain.
We started considering 2nd hand vehicles and re-powering. It was then that "Brunswick Diesels" came to mind. A quick look on their website put some serious thoughts in our minds and as they had a 2002 Patrol with a Chevy 6.5 there for sale, we decided on a trip down. The whole experience was nothing short of sheer pleasure. No smooth talking shonky salesmen to deal with! Greg showed us the vehicle and filled us in on all the truthful facts and figures, and a quick drive confirmed this was the car for us.
This was a car with comfort, power and reliability (no electronic gadgets) and put together very professionally with no half measures taken. When we put the van behind, we hardly take it out if 5th gear - it just comes into it's own. So now we have a car like new with money still in our pocket.
Greg and Sue and all the team at "Brunswick Diesels" are fantastic to deal with - efficient, honest and obliging. Their expertise and experience gives me confidence in knowing that anything I require - advice, information, parts, etc is just a phone call away.
Kind Regards
Lindsey and Janice

HAPPY LIFE HAPPY WIFE
|
Just a quick note, to let you know that the Turbo Intercooled 6.5ltr Chev ran beautifully all the way back to Hedland....as expected.
It's always a risk buying a vehicle sight unseen but you've exceeded expectations once again, as you did 5 years ago with your choice of GQ, WELL DONE!
We have absolutely no complaints at all (unless of course you count the fact the cheese & kisses is so pleased with the GU that I have been pretty much relegated to the long range pilot now....guess that means I'll be hitting you up for another one for myself down the track somewhere).
Thanks again for the great buy and even better service. Really appreciated all the extra efffort you guys went to so I could get home in a reasonable time frame.
See ya's when the kids start getting their licences.
Cheers Reddog

6.5 Ltr V8 Chev Diesels
|
To Greg & Sue Jones,
I wish to thank you for all of your assistance over the past couple of years.
I am more than happy with the engine(6.5 litre) that you supplied. What I wasn't expecting was the level of after sales service you and your staff have provided. It is reassuring that while the rest of the service industry has lost the art of service, you are excelling at it.
As you are aware I have had many problems to deal with on the rest of the vehicle. Your knowledge and expertise with these has saved my sanity on more than one occasion. The provision of labour and workshop space was completely unexpected and gratefully received, without which would have left my vehicle unusable for many days.
I have no hesitation in recommending you, your business and your products to anyone who asks.
Yours Faithfully and thank you again.
Chris

Bloody Awesome
|
Hi Greg and Everyone at Brunswick Diesels,
Just a short note to say that Kerrie and I are out at Giles on the Great Central Road near the NT border. The 6.5 Chevy has towed the 3T Caravan Faultlessly and with absolute ease over hills and valleys, wind rain and 40c heat in the desert. (It makes driving all day a pleasure.) I have had plenty of guys having a look at it and all have been impressed by the quality of workmanship (as we were). I was very pleased with the quality of service and friendly staff at Brunswick Diesels when we brought it in for it's 1st service. The vehicle is bloody awesome. Well Done Everyone.
Regards Mark and Kerrie

Nissan Patrol Conversion
|
Hi Scotty & everyone at Brunswick Diesels,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the work and effort you have put in to transform my diesel tray back Nissan Patrol from a slug into a very pleasurable vehicle to drive.
After getting home and having a good look under the bonnet, I was amazed by the very professional installation of the motor, it looked as though the engine had been there from the factory, with nothing looking as though it has been placed as there was no where else for it to go.
The ease of which the vehicle now performs is unbelievable and far past what I thought it would. It now simply climbs up hills in 5th even when towing a load. The fuel economy returned is also unbelievable for the performance gains. With the larger tyres I have fitted and sitting on 100 km/h approx 2000rpm the economy return is nearly better that the old motor.
The vehicle is very well mannered especially during peak hour traffic. It doesn't even run hot. The vehicle feels a lot safer to drive, especially when overtaking or crossing intersections.
After picking my car up last Saturday (03/12/05) I have racked up over 1300kms, made up of a country run from my house out to our families old farm near Bruce Rock approx 650kms, a run down through Boddington and Jarrahdale, as well as peak hour traffic during the week to my place of work in Osbourne Park. I will be seeing you on Saturday (10/12/05) for its 2000km service before I continue down to Collie and a few other places.
Once again thank you all very much for all of the work you have done, and I will no problems in recommending your company and products to other people that I meet in my travels.
Kind Regards
Aaron

HAPPY ROCKINGHAM CUSTOMER
|
Dear Scotty,
I have clocked up over 15,000 kms since having the 6.5 litre V8 Chev Diesel fitted to my vehicle last year.
The engine has performed flawlessly and has been a pleasure to drive. I often leave my Falcon FPV ute at home and drive the other vehicle for the fun of it.
We took it north to Shark Bay towing a three and a half tonne, thirty foot boat the day after we picked the car up and the engine never missed a beat.
Towing performance was very impressive - as you predicted, once moving I never had to change down from fifth gear (well, only once, and that was because I was going very slow at the bottom of the hill).
Equally impressive was the fact that in the soft sand of the national park I was driving in third, fourth and fifth in high range when I would have been in low ratio the previous year with the original engine. The engine pulls smoothly from around 750 rpm and never seems to stop. I have not been game to open it up on the open road but when backing off the throttle at more than 140 kmh it was still accelerating stongly.
The installation job is very tidy and there has been a lot of interest and admiration from other drivers.
Since the conversion I have had the suspension upgraded and the added clearance has allowed me to fit larger tyres with a 10% increase in rolling radius. This has given it longer cruising legs but has moderated the acceleration.
Fuel consumption has increased a little. The original 2.5 TDI was one of the most frugal engines I have owned and returned an average of around 10ltrs/100kms unladen and 16 to 17 ltrs/100kms when towing the boat at speeds up to 85 kmh, which was flat out.
The Chev returns around 14 to 15 ltrs/100kms around town even when pressed hard. This increases to around 19 ltrs/100kms towing the boat at around 90 to 95 kmh. This is a big boat that stands 3.5 metres high on the road and at 95 kmh it is pulling a big hole through the air, so I am not unhappy with this. It will now tow the boat much faster than I am prepared to drive it or the law allows and would cruise at 110 kmh if I were brave or silly enough to try it.
So, thanks for a job well done and please feel free to refer any enquiries to me. I will be happy to recommend the conversion.
Best Regards
Alan

Satisfied Customer
|
Dear Greg & Sue & Scotty,
We thought we would drop you a line to tell you how happy we are with the performance and the economy of our 6.5 litre Chevy Diesel that you supplied and installed in our GQ Nissan Patrol for us in the January of 2003.
Performance wise, we are towing a 26ft Jayco full caravan and our car now tows it with ease, as a matter of fact at times we even forget the van is even on the back. As the van tows very well and the power we have is overwhelming.
Economy wise, we have always measured our economy by, cents per kilometre. From the year 2000 and up until Xmas 2001, a two year period, we were towing an 18ft popup Coromal van and we had the 4.2 Nissan Petrol/Gas motor, and our kilometre cost was 26c/km. Keep in mind here that we were using a combination of Petrol, being the lesser and mostly Gas.
2003, A trip to Karratha and return in 2004 a 22,000 km trip, Darwin, Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney to Perth our costs were now 20c/km. Also keeping in mind here, the increase in fuel costs as well, and diesel is mostly the dearest of the three fuels now. We never have come across any special diesel prices as others do for petrol.
We also take this opportunity to thank you for your prompt action last year in Karratha and on our return back to Perth for the minor warranty problems we encountered, they were promptly rectified. And not to mention your after sales service we have been given to date, is second to none.
You have probably got the drift now that we are thoroughly satisfied with our Engine Conversion and your service and we pass our appreciation on to you.
Yours Sincerely
Bob & Phyl

Happy Customer
|
Dear Scotty,
Thank you for your assistance last Saturday when our Proton Wira blew a head gasket. It was helpful for us to know that we were in need of major repairs so that we could plan ahead and continue with our weekend plans.
We managed to get the Australind to Brunswick and caught a connecting bus to Bridgetown on arrival at Bunbury. Sunday was a bus trip back to Bunbury and Australind home. A long day.
I have arranged, as you are now aware, for Auto Trans to collect the car in the next few days. They were very helpful and efficient on the phone. The next phase will be the end repairs, which will be quite costly I imagine.
I have enclosed $ and offer that to you to use, at your discretion, to buy a beer for your self and young Chris who was also quite obliging toward us. He offered us a lift to Bunbury and if I had of known at the time, we should have taken him up on that offer.
While being in trouble it was very re-assuring for us to receive some kindness and good old country mateship from you both.
I have enclosed my business card and if I can ever assist either of you, I might then have the opportunity to return the kindness and courtesy shown us.
Please enjoy the beers.
Kind Regards
Peter and Angie
